The Saddle returned under Maria Grazia Chiuri in 2018 after a decades absence and has not left since. The Eyelet iteration applies perforated detailing to the black leather exterior, introducing a textural layer to one of fashions most recognisable silhouettes. The asymmetric D shaped form, originally designed by John Galliano in 1999, remains one of the few bag shapes in luxury fashion that is genuinely impossible to mistake for anything else.
